Patient Accounts and Billing

All billing and patient accounts for Northwest Columbus Urology, Inc. are handled in the Marysville office.

The Patient Accounts department of Northwest Columbus Urology, Inc. will help you in any way with submitting your claim to your insurance company as a means of payment on your account. We are contracted with most major insurance carriers.

Please remember that you are ultimately responsible for payment of your account. It is your responsibility as the patient to pay any co-pay due at the time of service. We will file a claim to your primary carrier and will file any remaining balance to your secondary and tertiary carriers, if applicable. We will only file a claim to your secondary and tertiary carriers once, unless an error was made on our end. We ask that you make every effort to provide us with correct insurance information for every visit.

If you have a question about how your insurance paid your claim, please contact them. We can tell you what they paid (or didn’t pay). We can’t tell you how they processed and applied your benefits. If your insurance company has incorrect information about you or one of your dependents in there system, you will need to contact them directly to correct their records.

Once your insurance has issued payment, we ask that you promptly pay any remaining balance on receipt of your first statement. If you are unable to do so, please contact the patient accounts department and we can discuss making payments that are satisfactory to all. We send patient statements on all accounts with a patient balance due once a month. If you question how something is posted on your account, please contact us right away so that we are able to correct it as soon as possible, if needed.

We do offer a discount to our self pay patients with no insurance coverage.

There are some elective procedures that are not generally covered by all insurance carriers. Vasectomy and vasectomy reversal are two of the most common. If you find that you are having such a procedure and it is not a benefit of your insurance policy, we will quote you a price for the procedure. Payment must be made in full prior to the procedure being performed.

Please call our patient accounts department at (937) 578-2305. We will be happy to assist you in any way we can!
